Giving up 531 yards is certainly not a flattering statistic for the Auburn defense. On the bright side, at least it wasn't 532 yards. The Mississippi State Bulldogs were inches away from closing the 41-34 gap with a touchdown as 10 seconds remained on the clock. However, the Auburn defense held strong and kept quarterback Chris Relf out of the end zone on second-and-goal as time expired.
