TE signee eyeing early impact at AU
Philip Lutzenkirchen is preparing to play football at Auburn. Not a year from now. More like months.
The 2009 Tiger tight end signee out of Lassiter High in Marietta, Ga. has his mind set on making an impact on the Plains, and making it quickly.
Lutzenkirchen, rated by Rivals.com as the No. 3 tight end in the country in '09, sees an opportunity at Auburn for him to play this fall, his true freshman season. He's doing everything he can to make sure he's ready.
"The coaches told me I'd have a good chance to play early. I'm going to work hard in the weight room and go down there and watch spring practice and get as much terminology in as I can," he said. "I want to be mentally and physically prepared for when I report this summer."
