Askew gaining more attention
San Antonio Madison is beginning to rival the Riverwalk as a tourist attraction among college football coaches. That's because Madison offers up a number of talented prospects in the 2010 receruiting class and beyond with 2011 running back prospect Aaron Green possibly the top back in the state next year. In addition, unlike many of their peers across the state of Texas, Madison's junior prospects remain uncommitted. So there's even more reason for college coaches to make the school a prime destination this spring.
One of the class of 2010 prospects who will be receiving a lot of attention is wide receiver Nate Askew. The 6-foot-4, 213-pound Askew runs in the 4.5-second range in the 40-yard dash and caught 51 passes for 856 yards and eight touchdowns this past season. He's already received offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Colorado, Florida State, Houston, Kansas, Minnesota, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Utah and Tulsa. He's anticipating even more to pour in during May given the number of college coaches that are expected to come by and watch Askew and his teammates during spring practice.
